The London Parchment was set up in May 2015 and has evolved into a blog mostly focusing on stationery, both products and purposes, and the built environment whether it is in my home city of London or further afield.
As you may have read on my homepage, the name of my site is a reflection of my investment in the written word. In life, I am a jotter, scribbler, reader, crafter, list-maker, scrapbooker, journal-keeper, letter-writer, the person that leaves notes around for people to find when they’re least expecting it. I do these things in a very analogue way, that is, by putting pen to paper. But for me the beauty of the written word is that it is everyday art that endures. Parchment is a vehicle for those words that takes your expression and makes it last. In that sense, this site/blog/online journal takes some aspects of this spirit on a different platform to my usual outlets but which gives me an opportunity to share it, rather than keeping it all to myself.
